These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants attending any Melbourne Volleyball Project (MVP) training sessions, socials, competitions or related activities.
By purchasing a ticket or participating in any MVP activity, you agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that participation in volleyball activities involves physical exertion and inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strains, sprains, collisions, falls, and other injuries. I voluntarily choose to participate and accept these risks.
2. Fitness to Participate
I confirm that I am physically and medically fit to participate in MVP activities. I am responsible for monitoring my own condition and seeking medical advice where necessary prior to participation.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, I agree that Melbourne Volleyball Project, its organisers, coaches, staff, volunteers, and venue partners are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from my participation in MVP activities.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by law.
4. Public Liability Insurance
Melbourne Volleyball Project holds public liability insurance as required by law. This insurance does not remove a participant’s responsibility to acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of participation as outlined in these Terms & Conditions.
5. Personal Responsibility and Conduct
I agree to follow all instructions provided by MVP coaches and staff and to conduct myself in a safe and respectful manner. MVP reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate, without refund.
6. First Aid and Medical Assistance
I consent to receiving first aid or emergency medical treatment if required during participation. Any costs associated with medical treatment are my responsibility.
7. Venue and Equipment
I acknowledge that MVP operates within third-party venues and is not responsible for venue conditions beyond its reasonable control. I agree to use all equipment and facilities responsibly and as directed.
8. Photography and Media
I consent to photographs or video recordings taken during MVP activities being used for promotional, marketing, or social media purposes unless I notify MVP in writing prior to the session.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
Tickets are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. MVP reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances, including venue availability, safety concerns or coach availability.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a ticket or participating in any MVP activity, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
